Welcome to my blog site. For those that don’t know me I am a 27 year old husband and father, living in the beautiful city of Perth in Western Australia. I have a long standing passion for technology, ranging from computers, mobiles, home and car entertainment. I have also recently reacquired my passion for video consoles and games of my youth (details to come in another post).

There are a couple of reasons why I decided to this create this blog:

- I’ve have embraced the idea of public-ness and sharing openly and the benefits that come with that championed by people like Jeff Jarvis and Tom Anderson. Previously I have created other blogs under various anonymous online identities; however because I was never personally attached to these identities in a meaningful way, it was easy to hold back and let the site run down.

I am hoping that associating my real identify to my blog posts will help anyone who reads them relate to them in a deeper way. I compare it to taking a product recommendation from a friend over a stranger. The value of a friends opinions has greater meaning cause you know their likes, dislikes etc..

As the title says: this is the real me.

- My previous blogs have always been based on technology, however at many times I have wanted to write a blog post about topics completely unrelated to tech. This has been particularly so since I’ve become a husband and father. This blog is just going to be a open book of thoughts about any topic, I’m no longer confined to specific topics.

- While it is possible to write long, detailed posts on some social websites like Google+, I don’t see my social networks as the appropriate place to post opinion pieces about everything. Certainly I will post links to my blog on my social sites and hope that it will encourage discussion, however I would like to give my friends/social connections the choice if they want to read it or not.

So I hope you can enjoy this site and feel open to comment, both positive and negative. Also, feel free to add me to your circles if you have Google+ here. I promise I won’t spam your feed with tons of reshares and animated GIFs (unless they are awesome!)
